Portland Bangers FC Tee

Challenge: Design a fun tee for the Portland Bangers’ inaugural season

Goals: Create a design that embodies the lighthearted spirit of the team and the fans

RESEARCH + INSPIRATION

Prior to starting this project, I was given some slogans for the Portland Bangers team that incorporated themes of bratwursts, as the team mascot for the Bangers is a sausage. I decided to gather inspiration from designs that were based more around typography because I knew that I wanted to use a slogan in my design.

I designed the hat using a template of Official League’s classic tee to make sure all of the product specifications were correct. I kept the design minimal to make the slogan the focus of the tee. The font pairing is inspired by some of the combinations that I saw in vintage sports merchandise.
