GwinnetT STRIPERS SATIN JACKET
Challenge: Design a jacket for the Gwinnett Stripers MiLB team
Goals: Create a sleek, clean design that stays true to the Stripers’ branding and visual identity
RESEARCH + INSPIRATION
After research into the history of the Gwinnett Stripers and their MLB affiliate, the Atlanta Braves, I put together a mood board to help visualize the direction that I wanted to go in. I took inspiration from a vintage Atlanta Braves jacket as well as an existing Official League jacket for the Portland Pickles that uses the same satin jacket style.

I designed this jacket using Official League’s satin jacket template to make sure all of the product specifications were correct. I decided to use the Striper’s navy blue as the primary color for the jacket because it is a color that they share with their MLB affiliate, the Atlanta Braves. I also think that navy is a color that fits easier into a lot of fans’ wardrobes, as opposed to the secondary green in the Stripers’ palette. I created a few variations of the jacket, with the full navy version being the one that went into production.
FINAL
The final design is a navy satin jacket that features green trim and a striped pattern on the interior. The jacket is available to purchase online and in store at the Gwinnett Stripers merchandise store!
